3 Counterfeit Foods Marketed as “Healthier” – they are Disingenuous and will Negatively Impact You Ability to Lose Belly Fat!

I am a diligent “Label Reader”, so while I was at the supermarket the other day I was baffled by all of the disingenuous labels claiming that are supposedly “healthy”, but are really detrimental to YOUR HEALTH!
Example #1: Product claiming “Better than peanut butter” by being a low-fat peanut butter
This product is a Sham! How could anybody ever believe that this garbage is better for them than natural peanut butter.
“Reduced-fat peanut butter”… Really means the addition of more sugars and carbs to replace the fat they so-called removed.
Simple Organic Peanut Butter is what you should be eating. It is usually nothing but two ingredients… peanuts and salt.
Note: You should always avoid peanut butter that contain harmful hydrogenated oils. Peanut butter that contains palm oil is a better alternative… but natural organic peanut butter is best.
If there is a paragraph of ingredients on a particular product, I would avoid it. Simple is always better. I look for a 1-3 ingredients that I can actually pronounce.
Don’t be fooled by Reduced-Fat Labels on your favorite foods! Conscientiously paying attention to this will help with you with your efforts to Lose Belly Fat.
Due to the overly processed nature of reduced-fat peanut butter which may be lower in fat (by removing the healthy fats), they are generally higher in sugar and total carbohydrates, which can have a very negative effective on your Blood Sugar Levels.
Example #2: Product claiming to be “better than eggs”.
I won’t go crazy on this one. Egg whites are not what they are “cracked” up to be… no pun intended! No one should attempt to mess with Mother Nature. You can’t remove the healthiest part… that beautiful Sunny Yolk, and expect positive results. Focus on Organic Cage-free eggs to add to your healthy diet. If you have a local farm nearby, this would be your best bet as long as the hens are allowed to roam freely.
Example #3: A product claiming to be “better than butter”.
Real BUTTER is what you need, contrary to what you have been told. 25% percent of the cholesterol in your body is found in your brain. Cholesterol serves as the raw material from which we are able to make things like progesterone, estrogen, cortisol, testosterone.
Opt for Grass-Fed Organic butter at all cost, so that you can avoid the chemical-laden margarines that are loaded with trans fatty acids and refined vegetable oils.
This was essentially chemical-laden margarine loaded with highly processed and deadly trans fats and refined vegetable oils (known now to be almost as harmful as trans fats), yet it had the nerve to claim it was “better than butter”, simply because it was lower in saturated fat (which is actually healthier).
Who are they fooling!
Even low quality butter is healthier than ANY margarine. One problem with butter can be pesticides and hormones from improperly raised cows in confinement.
For this reason, you always want to choose organic butter, and preferably, if you can find “grass-fed” organic butter, then that is the absolute healthiest butter for you. In fact, a little known fact is that adding a little butter to your steamed vegetables helps your body to absorb more of the vitamins and minerals in the veggies. It’s true…having veggies with a fat source aids your assimilation of vitamins and minerals.
